1997 Jaguar XK8
I have owned this car for 14 years. The oil has been changed every 3000 miles. The tires have less than 2000 miles on them and they are Pirelli. I have put new hoses, brake switch and yearly services since I’ve owned this car. She runs like a dream.
This car has 107,523 miles which is less than 4500 miles a year. The passenger front seat and rear seats look brand new and the drivers’ front seat just shows somewhere on the material but no cracks or holes. The car is loaded, with incredible beautiful woodgrain dash and doors. Has heated front seats, telescopic steering wheel Power steering power windows, power seats. As you can see in the pictures, it has a beautiful boot cover, and the canvas top is in great shape. To my knowledge, it’s in an original roof. Is very clean with two minor imperfections one on the passenger rear quarter panel, which was hit by a bumper of another car and the driver side front lower bumper has a scratch on it. This has a V8 engine but I prefer to drive it like a touring car…not a race car. It is definitely a vanity car and will turn head wherever you take her. Julie Shannon jbshannon362@gmail.com
1955 Austin Healey BN1 84,000 miles $38,000
In 1976 I skipped school so my father and I could fly across the state to pick up this Healey. We drove it home and it has been in the family ever since. I’ve always done whatever was needed to keep it looking good and running well, but now pretty much everything should be rebuilt or repainted. The car is a solid platform for full or rolling restoration.
Sunny days in this car are a treat, so I removed the convertible top and frame for a tidier look (the tonneau protects the cockpit) and they are included. The original side curtains are in their case in the trunk. The leather seats were redone in the 1980s and are supple and soft. All the interior trim is there, but it's all a little tired. The wheels are true and balanced, but the tires are 16 years old.
Overdrive, horn, lights, trafficator, wipers, instruments and parking brake function well. Steering, suspension and brakes are safe but not tight. The engine was rebuilt in the 1980s and starts every time with enthusiasm. However, the engine leaks a bit of oil. As does the differential. And the steering box. And the transmission, which shifts as it should but has a grumble in second gear that started recently. The radiator does not leak and the car does not overheat. The starter was rebuilt this year. The carbs stay in tune.
There is no rust to be seen when driving down the road, but there is some in the trunk floor. The cockpit floors, rocker panels, front fenders, rear fenders, hood, trunk are solid. The stainless-steel exhaust has less than 1,500 miles on it. The car was painted in the 1970s. Waxing it an aesthetic experience, but there is cracking and fading and there are chips. There is a cotton car cover to keep her snug in the garage.

Two brand new window handles. $20 for both. A USB ports that can go in the place of the cigarette lighter. The opening needs to be made a little larger. $5. Ed Schultz eds74mgb@gmail.com
